Working with the community...

'Community News' goes live - 6/10/2008

Dear residents,

Our apologies for the delay with the 'Community News' section, this has been in part due to technical difficulties which we are pleased to announce have now been overcome.

The 'Community News' section of the website was proposed over a year and a half ago when a dedicated website to the Mine was being written. The main body of the website went live at the end of 2007 and with the Community News section added makes the website complete.

The aim of the 'Community News' section is to provide a central information point so local residents can keep up to date on dialect from the liason meetings and also any other relevant information.

Information may come in the form of minutes from the liason meetings, pictures, bulletins on work being carried out on the surface of our operations and also any underground information which we feel may be of interest!

The first items to be added to the site will be back dated minutes from the Meadow Bank Liaison Meetings, this will provide an opportunity for residents to keep up to date on past and existing issues.

If there are any issues which you would like to raise in the liason meeting please contact Brian Wood via email at woodb1@sky.com or by telephone 01606 553094.

Should residents wish to contact Salt Union during office hours the following people are available:-

Brian Clarke - brianclarke@saltunion.com or 07788 497462

Zoe Ellis - zoeellis@saltunion.com or 01606 305104

As we move forward with the site any feedback or suggestions are welcome, please contact Zoe Ellis.

We hope the 'Community News' section will be welcomed by the residents as we continue to work towards a better relationship as neighbours.
